Eric's swearing in

You can refer to him as "Your Highness" and me as the First Lady. Ok, maybe not, but I wear pearls worthy of being the First Lady. (side note: I really do love pearls and wear them everywhere. Sunday church, morning run, playing at the park, cooking dinner, giving birth- yes, that's right, giving birth. Pearls are a must when giving birth)

My neighbors graciously agreed to watch the boys while we attended Eric's swearing in ceremony at our town's Council meeting. Doesn't he look handsome?! He certainly makes a suit look good.

Right before Christmas, our newly elected mayors (we have two in our town, because we're that awesome) contacted Eric and asked if he would be interested in serving on the Planning and Zoning Commission. He was super excited, I whined and said "but I wanted to do that". I did want to, but it makes more sense for the architect half of us to serve than the floor-scrubbing-diaper-changing half to. No hard feelings, I've moved on.

So once a month, he makes super-important-life-changing-decisions like "no, the sign must be hung lower" and "that design is ugly. Redo it". Maybe not, though, you'd have to ask him.

Whatever it is he'll be doing, he's added one more thing to his repertoire of multi-talented, all-around good guy status. And he's a.o.k in my book.

I would totally wear pearls every day if I could (and stockings). I feel so special in them. I love wearing them while I cook. :)

I can't believe you run in them. That is pretty special.
